We offer individual and group tours, as well as Information Sessions, for our prospective families. 

This is an excellent opportunity for parents to get a feel for the culture of our school and to see what happens in the classroom. Join us for an information session to learn more about our IB programs and meet members of the community.

Once you have completed an inquiry form and have spoken with an admissions team member, the next step will be to complete an application. Applications are considered complete when the Enrollment Office has received the application and fee along with all supporting documentation. Applications received by January 13 will receive first consideration.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Applications are due January 13. Applications will continue to be considered after the due date. Please email us to check on availability.

Students must take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam), a standardized admissions assessment. Please visit the ISEE website for more information and to schedule your child's test.  

Interviews and assessments may be done in person or virtually. This visit gives us an opportunity to get to know you and your child one-on-one. You will connect with the Admissions and Enrollment team, tour our campus, and have an opportunity to ask questions specific to your child and the Carolina Prep experience.

We will invite your student to connect with current students for a half-day school visit. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with members from the Admissions Committee during the student visit. 

Enrollment Notification Dates
Applications submitted and completed by the application deadline will be notified February 28. 

Carolina Prep is a member of the Triangle Independent School Consortium whose members recognize that the individual timetables for the admissions process are as unique as the schools themselves. We want to assure you that we are willing to accommodate the needs of families who have applied to more than one of the schools.

At all other times, admissions are done on a “rolling” basis: that is, children are both considered and accepted as and when spaces become available.

Carolina Prep is committed to providing admission to qualified students regardless of their financial situation and to maintaining a student body that reflects the diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds within the Triangle. As a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), we award financial aid on the basis of demonstrated family financial need. 

Timeline for Families

• Clarity opens October 1 for new and returning families to submit their applications for the 2026-2027 school year

• First consideration deadline for returning families is December 8, 2025; first consideration for new families is January 12.

If an award is accepted by the family (by means of enrolling at Carolina Prep for the 2026-2027 school year), final 2025 tax documents must be submitted to Clarity on or before June 1, 2026. Carolina Prep reserves the right to review 2025 tax documentation and modify the tuition assistance award accordingly. If the tax documents are not submitted by June 1, 2026, the tuition assistance award will be forfeited and voided.
