Bus Services

Route 1: Offered to the Carolina Prep campus from The Montessori School of Raleigh campus in the morning and to The Montessori School of Raleigh campus from the Carolina Prep campus in the afternoon.
Route 2: Offered to The Montessori School of Raleigh campus from the Carolina Prep campus in the morning and to the Carolina Prep campus from The Montessori School of Raleigh campus in the afternoon.
Family Discount Billing Details: If more than one child opts in for the bus services, the total fee bill to the family will be $1,725. The first child will be charged $1,150; the second child will be charged $575; the third and beyond child will be charged $0.

Bus routes will be limited. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once spots are filled, Carolina Prep will keep a waitlist of interested families and will fill any spots that open in order of families on the waitlist. For questions, please contact transportation@msr.org.

The School reserves the right to modify or discontinue bus service at any time if there is insufficient ridership to sustain the route(s). In the event a route is discontinued or not offered, families will be provided with advance notice.

Summer Camps

SummerScape at The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) offers engaging, hands-on experiences for children each week during the summer months.

NOTE: Available through separate registration process occurring each spring semester.

Parents and campers can choose from a wide array of half- and full-day sessions focused on the arts, STEM, athletics, enrichment, and more—all taught by experienced MSR teachers and other area experts. There’s something for everyone!

SummerScape registration is open to current MSR students ages 15 months to Grade 8, and non-MSR students age 4 years and older. Program offerings are updated each year, ensuring a variety of new options and fan-favorites for families to choose from.

Studios

Studios, MSR's after-school enrichment program, features a variety of themed activities and workshops engaging MSR students in sports, STEM, French language, theater, dance, pottery and more! Sessions are available for Children’s House through Upper Elementary and offered three times a year; fall, winter, and spring.

Tuition Assistance & Scholarships

Carolina Prep offers an array of opportunities for tuition assistance and scholarships. Carolina Prep also accepts Opportunity Scholarship funding.

Tuition Assistance

Carolina Prep is committed to supporting a student throughout their education journey at our school as long as there is demonstrated family financial need. Tuition assistance applications are made directly through Clarity. Clarity collects basic financial information on income, assets and liabilities, family size, siblings in tuition-based schools, and any special circumstances. The Carolina Prep Tuition Assistance Committee reviews this confidential information to determine a family’s eligibility for assistance. Students and families receiving assistance are also expected to respect the confidentiality of this information.

Timeline for Families

Clarity opens October 1 for new and returning families to submit their applications.
First consideration deadline for returning families is December 10; first consideration for new families is January 13.

If an award is accepted by the family (by means of enrolling at Carolina Prep), final tax documents must be submitted to Clarity on or before June 1.

The School reserves the right to review tax documentation and modify the tuition assistance award accordingly.

If the tax documents are not submitted by June 1, the tuition assistance award will be forfeited and voided.

The Comprehensive Fee

The Comprehensive Fee is the Tuition Balance as defined below, plus any additional charges for enrollment in optional add-on programs and services such as bus services. The Comprehensive Fee does not include any additional fees, such as IB and/or AP testing fees, international or other parent-funded field trips, including Carolina Prep Project Week, or a student's selective enrollment in additional auxiliary programming such as Summer Camps that may be assessed during the school year.

The Tuition Balance

Payment Options

The Financially Responsible Party ("FRP") must select one of the following three methods of paying the Comprehensive Fee by selecting one of the options below:

Option C | Monthly

Comprehensive Fee is paid in installments beginning on June 1, 2026 and ending March 1, 2027.

There is a 3% administrative fee on the Tuition Balance for this monthly plan.

All payments must be paid by the last day of the month in order for the student's account to remain current.

Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Protection Plan (TRPP) is required for Option C, with the TRPP fee due with the first payment.

Enrollment in Veracross AutoPay is required.

Our Refund Policy

This refund policy sets out how Carolina Preparatory Academy processes refunds when applicable. This policy applies to students enrolling for the upcoming academic year. Students enrolling mid-year are subject to different withdrawal terms, which are outlined in the enrollment contract. The enrollment contract governs all financial obligations related to withdrawal, and in the event of any inconsistency, the terms of the enrollment contract control.
