To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete.

The Clarity Application is mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

Upload all requested supporting documentation to Clarity via mail or fax prior to the application due date. You will be required to provide a copy of your most recent tax records including all W-2’s, 1099’s, and any other requested supporting documentation.

Clarity will review your application and contact your family to submit additional documentation. Once Clarity confirms your application as complete or in good standing, the school will use Clarity’s assessment report to make its award decision.

Tuition assistance awards will be offered when the student’s enrollment application is processed and the student is offered enrollment at Carolina Prep. Parents are notified of award decisions by electronic letter at the same time as re-enrollment or enrollment.

First consideration will be given to applications received by December 4 for returning families and January 8 for new families. All applications received after January 8 will be reviewed on a rolling basis depending on availability of funds.

We are excited to share an incredible opportunity for families who are seeking to make their education at Carolina Prep more affordable. The Opportunity Scholarship helps North Carolina families cover tuition and other required fees and is open to all students in grades K-12.

Scholarship awards range from approximately $3,000 to $7,000, based on a family’s household income.

Additionally, you can create your MyPortal account with the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (SEAA), which administers and manages the Opportunity Scholarship program. Once your MyPortal account is set up and the application opens on February 6, 2025 you will simply log in and submit your application.

For students with an IEP (issued within the last three years), you may also be interested in the ESA+ program. The base level of funding is a $9,000 annual award; students with certain designated disabilities may be eligible to receive a $17,000 annual award. If your child currently receives Opportunity Scholarship or ESA+ funding, you do not need to submit a new application for them. However, you must take action to renew their scholarship for 2025-26. You will receive communication from SEAA for how to renew your scholarship. We encourage you to check your MyPortal account weekly so that you don’t miss any information about your child’s scholarship.
