Senior Breakfast
A few weeks before Commencement, Carolina Prep faculty and staff and the junior class work hard to plan, prep, cook and host an incredible Senior Breakfast for our graduating senior class.
This heart warming tradition is a rite of passage for Carolina Prep juniors and seniors.

Capstone Dinner
During the week leading up to Commencement, seniors and their immediate families are invited to the Senior Capstone Dinner.
This event includes faculty speeches, a senior slideshow, awards, alumni inductions, and the distribution of senior gifts.

Senior Awards Ceremony
At the end of our Capstone Dinner, Seniors receive their National Honor Society and International Baccalaureate tassels and award certificates.

School Rug & Student Tassels
During Convocation, Carolina Prep students walk across our school rug as they approach the stage.
This design represents the planes of development that students experience on a journey from The Montessori School of Raleigh through Carolina Prep, from early childhood through high school.
Prior to graduation, each senior ties a tassel onto the end of the rug, marking the end of their Carolina Prep journey and the beginning of their next chapter.

Book Signing Ceremony
At the beginning of their Carolina Prep journey, students write their name in our Carolina Prep Book.
During commencement as they celebrate their graduation, students place a stamp next to their name, marking their status as a graduate of Carolina Prep and signifying the successful completion of their high school experience.
Commencement Ceremony
Commencement takes place in late-May and is an opportunity to recognize our incredible Carolina Prep graduates for all they have accomplished, everything they have learned about themselves, the world, and their place in it and the indelible mark they have left on our Carolina Prep community.
