Fall and Spring Garden Days are hosted on our campus and provide an opportunity for parents and students to work together to beautify the outdoor spaces. 

All students joining Carolina Prep participate in a book signing event each fall during Convocation.

At the beginning of their Carolina Prep journey, students write their names in the Upper School Book, and, as part of commencement when they celebrate their graduation, students will place a stamp next to their name.

The Upper School Book marks their status as a graduate of Carolina Prep and signifies the successful completion of their high school experience.

During Convocation, Carolina Prep students step across the school rug as they approach the stage.

The block pattern design on the rug represents the planes of development that students experience on a journey from The Montessori School of Raleigh through Carolina Prep, from early childhood through high school.

Prior to graduation, each senior ties a tassel onto the end of the rug, marking the end of their journey at Carolina Prep and the beginning of their next chapter.

Each morning, everyone on the Carolina Prep campus meets together in a large circle to discuss upcoming events, share praise and discuss any points of interest that students or faculty would like to raise. 

Campus Life Chairs in each division request small donations for the yearly Class Fund, which is used to buy birthday, holiday, and other notable gifts throughout the year for faculty and staff.

Each year on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, CPA students and teachers give back to the CPA community with a day of service hosted on the CPA campus. Students work to beautify the campus and often work on specific projects for the day. 

During the week leading up to Commencement, seniors and their immediate families are invited to the Senior Capstone Dinner. 

This event includes faculty speeches, a senior slideshow, awards, alumni inductions, and the distribution of senior gifts.
